The Murrumbeena Branch of the Alfred Hospital Auxiliary held a grand charity gymkhana on 7 September, 1929 at the Central Speedway, Boundary Road, Bentleigh. This article reports on a "gymkhana held at Orbost in aid of the Red Cross and kindred institutions by which £2000 was realised from a population of 22000 adults and children.
