Above and below the photograph ...Black & white photograph 20cm x 15cm of the Bendigo Butter Factory in Mundy St., mounted on cardboard. It appears to have been part of a display, with explanatory notes attached to each photograph. See 11011.30. On the reverse is the date 1950-1955 and a blue registration stamp with the words 'Pure creamery, Australia, Victoria regd'. Photograph is of the front entrance to the factory, with a small delivery van parked outside. The van has 'Mundy St' and 'Phone 82' along with a diagram of a square of butter. Above the front entrance to the factory are the words ' H & N Bendigo Butter & Ice Factory'. There is a small sign advertising ice sales. Above and below the photograph are the words - 'The Home of Bendigo Butter' and 'Locally made Bendigo Butter contains all the necessary vitamins' in black lettering.bendigo, industry, bendigo butter factory. -

Black and White photograph, of Bendigo 3 climbing Mitchell St, near the Railway Station with the Destination of Quarry Hill. Has a Hutton's Ham ad on the front drivers panel and two rood ads. In the background are Sandhurst Dairies shop advertising Toppa Ice Cream, a boot repairer and a van marked Jeffreys Bread parked on the north side of Mitchell St. Nearing the point where the double track became single - see the signal wire insulators in the overhead. The FOX FM PhysiCAL Blade was a rollerblading competition held in the year 2000. The event was a fundraiser for Osteoporosis Victoria, and a total of $2000 was raised. In this photo, Wayne Lyons, (Sales Manager of Paul's Victoria), presents a large novelty cheque to Pauline Satchell (Manager of Fundraising & Marketing at Arthritis Victoria, incorporating Osteoporosis Victoria). Pauline was also the leader of the Osteoporosis team in the competition. A similar photo from the same event appears on page 20 of the Vol 13 Issue 01, Autumn 2000 edition of the Arthritis Victoria (incorporating Osteoporosis Victoria) quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. In that photo, Wayne Lyons, Pauline Satchell, and others pose for a group photo behind the large novelty cheque.
