The Bennett Bros Garage operated in Linton from the 1930s-1950s. The building is at 79A Sussex Street. Next to the garage building can be seen the building at 81 Sussex Street. Jane Craine, née Shimmins, migrated to Victoria with her husband William Craine in 1862/63. Jane's and William's seven children were all born in Linton. After her husband's death in 1908, Jane and her daughter Lottie ran a small confectionery shop at what is now 81 Sussex Street.Enlarged black and white copy of original photograph.
