It shows Jane Craine's confectionery shop, Patrick O'Sullivan's saddlery, G. G. Bennett's butcher's shop, Nicol's bakery, Wise's drapery shop, and Preston's store.
The cottage which can be seen in the background of the photograph was lived in by Joe Lambley.
