The fundraising event, which included a light luncheon and auction, was attended by around 70 people and raised $1,400 for the AFV. The event is briefly mentioned on page 3 of the Vol 2 No 2, June 1989 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. The article, which is accompanied by a photo, reports that around $1000 was raised for the AFV on the day. The photo accompanying the article is of AFV staff member, Sue Eagle, wearing a 1950s display wedding gown. The article states that Sue is pictured with Ian Howell from John Travers Studios. The event is also covered in the July 1988 - June 1989 Annual Report. This article is also accompanied by a photo - this time, of Helen Abicair (from Helen Abicair's Model Agency) with Ian Howell. However, in this article, he is stated as being from John Townsend Photographic Studios.
