Mary Jane Linton, nee Young, was born in Scotland and came to Australia with her mother and brother in 1857. She worked as a teacher until her marriage to John Linton, a son of Joseph and Mary Linton. She wrote this statement in 1939, when she was eighty-eight.Original is four typed pages, A4 size paper.
