Mary Jane Linton, nee Young, was born in Scotland and came to Australia with her mother and brother in 1857. She worked as a teacher until her marriage to John Linton, a son of Joseph and Mary Linton. She wrote this statement in 1939, when she was eighty-eight.

Original is four typed pages, A4 size paper. Photocopies three pages on foolscap paper. Typed statement, from information provided by Mary Jane Linton (nee Young). In it she lists the ten children of pioneers Joseph and Mary Linton, and records who they married and/or their occupations. She also provides information about her own family history.
