In October 1988, visiting British physiotherapist, Jane Barefoot, conducted a workshop for people with Ankylosing Spondylitis. In this photo, workshop participants are practising one of the stretching exercises.B&W photo of several people doing some stretching exercises in a long, narrow hallway. Some people have one leg up on the handrail while others have their leg placed up high on the brick wall opposite. Each person exercising is bending their torso towards the ankle of the raised leg. Since its inception, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV), formerly the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria (RAAV), has sought to inform and educate its members in all manner of things related to their condition.
