A Trigger Nozzle Forum was held at the headquarters of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) on the 31st of May, 2005. Participants included AFV volunteers, the Department of Sustainability & Environment, local MP Johan Scheffer, and representatives from Glen Eira City Council, as well as representatives from Nylex Gardenia, Toro (the Pope brand of gardening products), and Bunnings hardware stores. A slightly cropped version of this photo appears on page 9 of the Vol 18 Issue 3, Spring 2005 editon of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Update. 1946 Ballarat Teachers’ College reopened at Dana Street State School (no. 33) offering a one year course. The principal was W.F. Lord, and the staff consisted of Miss E.B. Hughes, Mr C.B. The Northern District School of Nursing opened in 1950 in to address the issues around nurse recruitment, training and education that had previously been hospital based. The residential school was to provide theoretical and in-house education and practical training over three years. The students would also receive practical hands-on training in the wards of associated hospitals. The Northern District School of Nursing operated from Lister House, Rowan Street, Bendigo.
