The photograph shows two cable trams at the Lonsdale St - Carlton line terminus in Lonsdale St between Elizabeth and Swanston Streets, looking south west. The nearest set with a destination of North Carlton - has trailer 391with the second set the destination of Collingwood. The Conductor of the first set is walking across the road, possibly to punch the Bundy clock. In the background are buildings for Harris Manufacturing Tailors, Granger? Badges - The Met - personnel employee numbers - Three parts - holder made from gold coloured plastic with a metal Met (the flying one) logo fixed above the holder and fitted with a pin. A engraved plastic, gold front, black rear number was then inserted and glued into the holder as shown by badge number 1041 where the number is loose. Two items - numbers 017 in original plastic packet and 1041. See Reg Item 3777.3 for another example.
