After training as a Cartographic Draftsman within the mining industry, I worked as a property illustrator for real estate firms in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne for 23 years from 1983. I initially photographed houses with a Polaroid camera and made a 'thumbnail' sketch while there. The photos were used to scale off a sketch in pencil and then that sketch was overlaid with drafting film and the 'pen and ink' completed. The pens I used were the Rotring ‘Rapidigraph’ drafting pens. The ink was also made by Rotring (German).The film was ‘Rapidraw’, polyester drafting film, double matte. It takes a very fine line and doesn’t bleed. As well as house sketches, there were often floor plans and site plans ordered. Aerial sketches were ordered when the property needed an overall view. An Australian flag given to students at the annual "Anzac Commemoration Ceremony for Students". In 2023 it was the 100th Anniversary of Legacy and special flags were printed with one side showing the Legacy logo and 100th anniversary logo. The service was held on 5th April and was the 91st time it was held. The ceremony provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain an appreciation of the Anzac spirit, the significance of the Shrine and the meaning of Anzac Day. ‘Eignbrook’ at 10 Pembroke Street was built 1904. Robert Sim was born in Manchester, England in 1925 and was privately educated in Liverpool. He sailed to Melbourne aged 28 and joined Wesby & Co timber merchants as manager where he remained until 1861 when he came to Ballarat. In the same year he established one of Ballarat's oldest businesses, Robert Sim Timber Merchant, at Bakery Hill. The business later moving to its present site at 102 Humffray Street South. Robert Sim opened the Victoria Saw and Moulding Mills in Raglan Street through to Errard Street in 1889.[2] After Robert Sim's death the business was continued by his son Charles R.
