The Australian Regular Army Supplement (ARAS) was a component of the Australian Army specifically designed to incorporate conscripts into the regular force for full-time duty at home in Australia. National Servicemen in the ARAS received the same pay and conditions as regular soldiers, including three weeks' annual leave.
