Miles seated, directly behind him his son A.T. Miles. Mrs. Cooper is the lady in second row between the two ladies seated in front.' Neither catalogue card or photographs state what the occasion photographed is.

Mounted copy reads beneath photograph, "H.F. Pearson and A.T. Miles 1949". Writing on back of another photograph reads, "The Mayor of Ringwood Cr. H. F. Pearson watching the first Mayor of Ringwood ex councillor A. T. Miles record his vote at a Referendum held on 26.2.1949. Ex councillor Miles was elected first mayor in 1924 - with the compliments of Cr. H.F. Pearson".
