The table was used in St Martins Anglican Church at Belgrave South, and was removed to the new St Martins Anglican Church in the 1980s. In the 2000s it was donated to the Historical Society.This is a wooden rectangular communion table, enclosed on three sides and open at the back. There is a single shelf extending the full width and depth and accessible from the back. There are mitre-shaped panels on all three sides. On the left side (as viewed from the body of the church) is affixed a metal plaque. See below for inscription.On plaque: "As a thank offering in memory of Mrs A. This small film development system was developed by Kodak for the amateur photographer. It was a small portable system which made the development of film more accessible to the enthusiast.This is an interesting item and quite innovative and as such has historic and scientific and research significance.A stained wooden rectangular box with dovetailed corners and a lid which is loose and sits inside a ridge.There are two holes drilled in both the longer sides of the box. The lid has a smaller raised section with Kodak Film Tank in red and black text a paper chart is stuck to the underpart of the lid..The interior of the box is painted black and there is a metal cylindrical tin with a lid and inner section.There is a spool attached to one end of the box.There are four loose items, two long prongs with black plastic knobs, a similar length implement with a straight shaft and hooked section on the end and a metal spool.Kodak film Tank on the lid of the box and the lid of the cylinder. Container - Chart Case, Late 19th to early 20th centuries
This case was donated along with the contents of over 60 navigational charts for locations all over the world. The narrow box is built to keep the charts in order and easily accessible on board a vessel. The chart case is a rare example of a container used on board a vessel for the storage and protection of navigational charts. It represents the type of equipment used by the navigator of a seafaring vessel. The charts within the case represent the places to which the vessel travelled.Chart case (or map case), wooden, has hinged opening at top. Front of case folds down and has a hook closure. It contained 65 British Admiralty navigational charts, which are listed and stored separately.
