On the left side of the tin's paper label is a parrot sitting on a wooden perch eating a biscuit. Wheat stalks and flowers decorate around the bird. It is very rare.On the top of the tin is a paper label in black the red saying ' 'This tin is the property of Arnott's Biscuits Pty Ltd., N.S.W. Division. Since this label came to PMHPS along with a selection of labels for Swallow and Ariell biscuits it is assumed that the George V label is also from Swallow & Ariell. The company produced a tin of mixed biscuits called "Queen's Own" with Queen Mary, George V's wife, on the label. It is possible that they also produced a "King's Own" assortment and on the death of Edward VII in 1910 these labels were produced to update the product without needing to reprint the whole label.
