Denis Gibbons (1937 – 2011) Trained with the Australian Army, before travelling to Vietnam in January 1966, Denis stayed with the 1st Australian Task Force in Nui Dat working as a photographer. The phrase ' Get Down' references the direct orders shouted by Norden's platoon commander (Lt David Jensen). The print depicts in colour, a 105mm gun firing at the enemy, on the night of the 13 May 1968, when Fire Support Patrol Base Coral, faced its first attack. 2Lt Ian George Mathers, (2794496) served with the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery and was in Vietnam with 4th Field Regiment from December 1970 to March 1971 and 12th Field Regiment from March 1971 and June 1971 and was killed in action on June 7, 1971, during the Battle of Long Khahn in Long Khanh Province, Vietnam. He died instantly from a gunshot to the chest while serving as a Forward Observer for B Company, 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.
