The Bendigo Church of Christ held its services in the Temperance Hall, View Street, Bendigo for the first sixty years. The chapel in Short Street, Bendigo, pictured on the centenary booklet cover, was officially opened in 1926. It was constructed by Mr. David Streader. A School Hall was added and opened by Cr. G. Bennetts, on Saturday 14th April, 1934. Bendigo Church of Christ Centenary 1866 - 1966 booklet. (Was a certificate from View St. Church of Christ)" The Nominal roll shows an Albert Searle Watson No VX1315 enlisted in the 2nd AIF on 26.10.1939 aged 27 years.
