Royal Parade is wide with service lanes separated by rows of short trees either side of the main roadway . The cable tracks can be clearly seen with inspection hatches every 10 metres, which allowed 'oilers' (workmen) to grease the pulleys that supported the constantly moving cable. A horse drawn cart, motor truck and pedestrians are also shown.
