Three pages typed copy of John Handfield's original letter to Blanche Shallard (of the Shire of Eltham Historical Society), 16 May 1989 detailing the Handfield family's life in Eltham and various personalities between their arrival in 1919 and departure in 1928. With a postscript that John Handfield returned in 1961 to a house designed by friend Robin Boyd and built 1961. At the time of the letter John and Esta Handfield had been the only owners. 3.
