When Australia changed from imperial currency to decimal currency on 14/2/1966, a well-planned operation of conversion took place. This involved changing public transport tickets as well, especially those where a printed value was shown. The MMTB printed dual currency tickets as part of the process. Ticket for the 5th tour in Melbourne operated by Yapper Tours, (sometimes spelled Yappa), using Ballarat Tramway Preservation Society tramcar W3 661. The reference gives the date as 6/5/1989, the background to its operation in Melbourne and the tram itself. Has the initials PJC on the side of the ticket. On the rear is a facsimile 1966 SEC dual currency ticket.
