In discussions on August 22nd with representatives of the Ballarat Aboriginal Education Committee, the Acting Administrator of the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Cooperative and the ASsistant Director Arts and Community Studies, and the Aboriginal Studies Teacher Coordinator at the Ballarat School of Mines, it was agreed that attempts be made to seek funding for and Aboriginal Education Support Unit, to be staffed by Aboriginal persons and to be responsible for policy, Aboriginal liaison and student support services.
