Bank (opened 21/3/1854). He was elected, with Chas Ferguson, as assessor to the first Williamstown Council in 1856. He was suceeded as Bank Manager by William Dempster in 1860. Presentation goblet - emu egg mounted on a silver base. The emu egg is lined with silver gilt, the goblet has stylised roses on the base, and vine leaves encircling the stem. Attributed to William Edwards.Around the rim: "Presented TO F.A. STRATFORD.ESQ AS A MARK OF ESTEEM & REGARD WILLIAMSTOWN FEB 9TH 1861"
