The Bofill family originated in Barcelona in Spain and later migrated to Australia with one daughter. The remainder of the family were born at Waanyarra. Henry Bofill must have had some sort of relationship with Mary Elizabeth Lockett with Jack being born in 1891. Henry later married Evelyn Mildred Grey in 1894. Jack Lockett was the son of Mary Elizabeth Lockett when she was still unmarried. The father of Jack was a man named Henry Bofill, and he was born at Waanyarra on 27th September 1865. It is of note that the Lockett family also lived at Waanyarra and were likely neighbours or knew the Bofill family. Henry later married a woman named Evelyn Mildred Grey and had several children. The family was living somewhere in Melbourne later on when Henry Bofill met with an accident and was killed. He was hit by a motorbike and sidecar in Lygon Street Carlton about 6pm after alighting from a tram. There were a number of witnesses to the accident, and the owner of the motorcycle was charged with manslaughter. Henry Bofill was transferred to St Vincent's Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The mother of Jack Lockett, Mary Elizabeth, was born at Waanyarra on 21st January 1870, the daughter of James and Mary Ann Bryant. Mary gave birth to Jack in 1891. Later she married Robert John Burstall and gave birth to several more children.
