Training notes issued by RAAF Engineering School (1942). Part of the "Kenneth William Hesse", RAAF No. 41144, Collection. Service record: Born 14 August 1909 in Petone, New Zealand. He was living in Bendigo when he enlisted in Melbourne on 13th June 1941 at the age of 31 years and 9 months. Initially he was mustered as an Electrical Fitter. on 12th October 1944 he embarked from Townsville for overseas service on Goodenough Island. He returned to Townsville on 20th October 1945 and was discharged on 8th November 1945. On discharge he was a Sergeant in No. 3 Radio and Installation Unit. Foolscap size, cardboard covered book with facility to add pages. Pages and covers secured with black cord tied to allow pages to be added. Cord passes through three holes punched in both covers and pages. 434 foolscap size cream coloured pages with cut edges. Text on pages in black type. RAAF Fitters Manual II.E course notes issued to 20164 Granville Inverell Hamilton BULLUSS Born 12/11/1909 in Hamilton NSW . He enlisted at Tamworth on 15/7/1940 into the RAAF and served as a mechanic until 29/11/1945. After the end of WW2 he divorced and moved to Melbourne where his 14 year old son Lance joined him before moving to Wangaratta to set up a business. He died on 27/6/1997 at Wangaratta. Book has black binding with black cord to bind it. Cover is a dirty cream colour with black writing.
