Multi chapter manual on aero engines. It covers Gipsy Moth engines, Rolls Royce, Merlins and P + W Wasp engines, Armstrong Siddley, Cheetah Engines. It also covers Theory of Operation - Metallurgy - Electro magnetic Principals. It consists of text, drawings, explanations, photos, fold outs. Aerodrome signals - Protection.
The cover is in two pieces. Those 2 pieces are bound together with a boot lace. The spine edges are covered with black cotton adhesive tape. The formal printing on front is in black ink.

Inscriptions & markings

Front cover: There are various parts of names - they are obliterated by wear and tear. Inside front cover is a handwritten index. Names "F. Simmons, The Avenue, Oakleigh. SEIZ, Q P.T. Hutchinson, VM 3023, 8 Tara Grove, Carnegie SEP". Inside rear cover is a large Qty of autographs and addresses.
