Rupert was the son of Carl Axel Nobelius, the famous Emerald horticulturalist. This clock was a gift from the son of the famous Emerald horticulturalist, Carl Axel Nobelius.Ansonia mantle clock with ornate oak case with metal pendulum and a brass key c1940s. Round metal face with Roman numerals. This is an example of a postcard ...This postcard belonged to Blanche Constance (Nina) Casement 1891-1972 whose fiancé, Arthur Ayers (1887-1964), enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force in 1914 and served at Gallipoli and the Western Front. He was wounded at Passchendale in 1917 and recuperated in England from which this postcard was sent. Nina and Arthur later lived in Emerald. This postcard was passed to their daughter Frances Nobelius (Ayers).This is an example of a postcard sent by an Australian soldier to his fiancé during World War I.Postcard with photograph of Oxford New College Dining Hall.
