Historical information

This photograph was taken on the occasion of the wedding of Frances Ayers to Norman Nobelius, grandson of Carl Axel Nobelius who founded the Gembrook Nurseries. The wedding took place at St Mark's Church, Emerald on 25 September 1948 followed by a reception at New Cafe, Emerald. The bridesmaids from left to right in the photograph are Elaine Morris (seated), Audrey Ayers and Barbara Ayers.
