Print, The Undertaker's Assistant, 1984
Artist comment: These three prints (The Groom, The Undertaker's Assistant, The Organist) are part of a series on forebears of Portland. The drawings are taken from people in a collection of photographs belonging to the Johnson Family of Portland. The "Old Lady" and "The Wedding" are part of the same series. I designed the background to each drawing to suit each character's expression.CEMA Art Collection Part of "A Community View" 150 years in Portland Screenprint Exhibition Part of Angela Gee Residency 1983 and 1984Screenprint of standing male from hips to head.
