The exhibition featured trees and shrubs of the Nobelius nursery which was opened by the 'renowned botanical artist' Kay Craig. Painted by Michele Bowmaker as part of a project by the Botanical Art Class of Emerald U3A 2012. History of the tree. This tree was planted by nobelius Park conservator Carey Williams in September 2010. It was donated to the park by Leah Kenny, proprietor of Emerald Gardens Nursery. The ginkgo is a living fossil, with fossils recognisably related th modern ginkgo from the Permian, dating back 270 million years.
