The Company was founded by James Pascall in 1866 in London. The firm amalgamated with Cadbury and J.S. Fry and built a factory in Tasmania in 1923. Pascall's commenced sweet production at the Cadbury factory in Claremont, Tasmania in 1938.The company was known for high quality confectionery. The price on the tin suggests the tin was made to be used in a confectionery shop. An large oval lidded tin, highly decorated with a gold filigree border, and a large scrolled product name. Main colours are red, pink, green and gold. The price for toffees is shown as 4oz for 3 1/2 d. The lid shows a large shield with a bee hive depicted.
