The donor's grandfather had a dairy (Robertson) at Marysville, where he had a jinker dray and other types of machinery. The dairy operated c1880-c1950.This hub is representative of horse or bullock-drawn vehicles used for transporting heavy loads on local farms in the late 19th to early 20th centuries.Timber-turned hub of a jinker wheel. There are 16 oblong spoke holes. The hub was the central part of a large wheel which would have connected the wheel to the axle and held the spokes in place.
