Leslie “Les” John Shea was a skilled agricultural‑machinery worker at McKay Massey Ferguson in Sunshine. Along with three colleagues, he became dissatisfied with the direction of the company and left to establish a new, independent manufacturing firm. His partners were Tom Connor, Charles "Tom" Dealy, Edward "Ted" George Waters and Jim D. Phillips of Albury. His technical expertise and leadership helped shape Connor‑Shea into a major national manufacturer. Two documents are on the History of Connor Shea.2222.01 - Leslie Les John Shea Collection - Certificate 103 The Melbourne Technical Schools Class Certificate for Leslie Shea 1922 for Fitting and Turning Certificate 103 The Melbourne Technical Schools Class Certificate for Leslie Shea 1922 for Fitting and Turning 2222.02 -
