This is one of a number of personal letters exchanged between Augustus Bostock and E H Macartney. Generally the topics discussed relate to sheep and farming practices, in this case the construction of a sheep dip and the sale of Lincoln sheep and expenses.This is one of a number of documents which relate to the Bostock family who were one of the most important pioneering families of the Western District. They owned and leased various properties around Warrnambool and were involved in many aspects of social and business life. As a letter , which discusses issues of the day, this item has social and historical significance.Cream lined paper folded in two.
