The models vary from a wooden sole and toe covering (Scandinavia, UK, Northern France) to a complete cover of the whole foot (The Netherlands and parts of Belgium). They are mostly made from poplar wood, but occasionally also from other softwoods like willow. The clogs' finish varies from plain wood or carved wood to varnished or painted versions, often with decorations. Adopted in 1957, production of the L1A2 bayonet began at Lithgow in 1958. The bayonet is of all metal construction and, in a departure from previous Lithgow production, is devoid of any markings.This Bayonet is an original as would have been used by a member of the AMF.All metal Black SLR Bayonet, Handle is rivetted on to Blade, there are no markings of any kind in the bayonet or handle. ... Life Drawing with markings by tutor Geoffrey Mainwaring ...Jan Edwards is the grandaughter of Perceval Richards, and daughter of architect Geoffrey Richards. Of the drawings Jan said mainwarring would come up to the eisel and draw in the paper, suggesting lines, emphasis, and giving educational advice by drawing on the side of the paper. Geoffrey Mainwarring taught art at the Ballarat School of Mines, and had served as an Australian War Artist.Twenty-two life drawings in pencil and charcoal drawn by Jan Edwards, with suggestions, modelling and drawing ratios drawn onto, and around the work, by tutor Geoffrey Mainwaring.
