The Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new headquarters was officially opened on the 19th of October, 1994, by the Governor of Victoria, Richard E McGarvie. Named the Percy Baxter Arthritis Centre, the new building is situated at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick. In this photo, Governor McGarvie, Mrs Lesley McGarvie, and the AFV's founder and President, Rheumatologist Dr Leslie Koadlow, pose for a photo beside a bronze plaque commemorating the official opening of the new building. This photo appears on page 2 of the Vol 7 No 4, Summer 1994 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It is captioned: "At the official opening of out [sic] new headquarters, from left AFV President, Dr L Koadlow, Mrs Lesley McGarvie and the Governor, Mr Richard McGarvie." A cropped version of the photo also appears (with other photos) on the front cover of the Vol 19 Issue 2, Winter 2006 edition of Update.
