The coin was unveiled in February 2014 at Parliament House in Canberra to connect everyday citizens with the nation's wartime history.A 2014 Australian $1 dollar coin commemorating 100 Years of ANZAC (1914–2014) — a tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. This coin features a silhouette of a soldier with a bowed head and reversed rifle with the words "100 Years of ANZAC - The Spirit Lives 2014" detailed on the back. The reverse features the official Anzac Centenary logo showing an Australian soldier with a bowed head and reversed rifle. The outer edge has a sun-ray motif from the Rising Sun badge.
