The Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory Company Limited was established in 1888 at Allansford and remained as an independent dairy manufacturer until 2014 when it was taken over by Canadian company Saputo. The factory was burnt in 1929 and all records lost. This booklet is a reprint of the original.Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Company Ltd was the earliest dairy manufacturer registered in Victoria. Registered in May 1888, it commenced processing in November 1888. Printed in 1986, the Articles of Association in this booklet were revision of the 1944 articles. It was printed in 1986. The revision resulted in the deletion of a small paragraph in Article 16. The correction was handwritten on the relevant page. At a special meeting of the Society on 5 May 1996 the resolution was passed to restore the relevant phrase to the set of articles. The Bendigo Chamber of Commerce and Industry was constituted in 1886 with the vision to be the single voice for the business community across greater Bendigo. ‘Be.Bendigo’ is the trading name of the organisation ‘Bendigo Business Council’ which was formed in 2008 as a merger between two Bendigo business organisations: The Bendigo Chamber of Commerce and Central Victorian Business Network (CVBN). Orbost Aero Club began in 1969 with Basil Dowie as Chair, David Nixon as Secretary/Treasurer. The group went into recess from 1977-1991 closing in 1997. The mid 1960s were boom years in flying training in Australia and the number of Aero Clubs grew rapidly. The Club played a significant role in the establishment of the small airport at Marlo and in the ongoing operation and development of the airport over the years particularly for patient transfer by aerial ambulance.
