The images are ones that were used in a Power Point exhibition at Dudley House Bendigo from August 25th - 31st August 2008. The Exhibition led up to the 150 years Anniversary Dinner of Defence Forces in Bendigo held re Cat No’s 8193 & 8194.5P The source of the images came from Multiple places including; The Bendigo Advertiser, Bendigo Military Museum, Passchendaele Barracks Military Historical Society, Victorian State Library, Victorian Govt Gazette, City of Greater Bendigo, Victorian Colonial Infantry Association, 15 Transport Sqd and multiple personal files. These 25 pages of documents all revolve around the Grinton Nitrate negatives and the journey to the Bendigo RSL Military Museum (SMIMM - BMM) from 2005 - 2009. The main people involved in this were Peter Ball, Murray Poustie Bendigo RSL Museum, Aylene Kirkwood Eaglehawk Heritage Society, Corrine Perkin Bendigo Art Galley, Jean Grinton Jack Grintons Daughter and Dorothy Hammer Bert Grinton 's (DCM) Daughter. The main points were; the possibility of the negatives going to the Australian War Memorial, the donation of to the Museum, meetings re ownership and the use off, the first exhibition and the plans and agreement for a major exhibition being "A Camera on the Somme". These Constitutions dated 14.11.1952 with the name's , "A.V. Palmer - President" (Bendigo RSL) "N.D. Wilson - President - Vic Branch R.S.S.A.I.L.A". The small booklets were headed "Rules of the Bendigo Returned Servicemen's Club - 1956" As far back as 1950 there was discussion within the Sub Branch re a Club in suitable premises. A property was purchased being 11 McKenzie Street Bendigo with the title dated 9.2.1951, the facility opened on 1.6.1951 but without a Liqueur Licence. Years followed with a failure to be granted one. Finally the facility was sold to Bendigo Legacy and they occupied the building on 7.6.1959 which became known as "Legacy House". Both men are wearing suit coats, vests and wearing hats. Straw broom and pots fixed to tree trunk. Man on RH side has an axe to his right. PLEASE NOTE: Letter with photo inquiring about the people in photo, states that the image is that of Peter Tyson, younger brother of James, his wife Margaret Sheil, and their twin daughters, Alice and Harriet. Diary is of accounts with limited text of a written diary on RH wide of sheets. Bookkeeper was Robert Primrose, whose name appears frequently in the book. Further research by Murray Poustie discovered that the photograph may actually be of Nicholas Penny, his wife Eva and their children Charlie, May, George and Nicholas. Also in the photograph on the left is their neighbour, Mr. John Green. The Photograph was taken by Max Lowenhardt when the Penny family was living in the tree at Fumina in 1906-07 following devastating bushfires. Fumina is in timber country at the foot of the Baw Baw Mountains and the area was frequently affected by major bushfires. The photograph was featured on the cover of the Gippsland Heritage Journal No.19, 1996 and is also extensively noted as ''The Penny family's tree home at Fumina'' in other publications including Vision & Realisation.person, receipts

These records, plans, maps and documentation revolve around the Soldiers Memorial Institute Pall Mall Bendigo.
