A certificate typed on Melbourne Legacy letterhead to certify that the recipient had completed a leadership training course in August 1979. It meant the junior legatee was qualified to assist in the youth classes. It also mentions the Junior Legatee is entitled to what the 'Leader' badge on her uniform. Hence it was a leadership course for female junior legatees. This uncompleted certificate is unnamed and is not signed by the President, which was L/ W R Mehan in 1979, so it had not been awarded and could be a generic draft of a certificate for the files.A record that Legacy provided advancement opportunities for the girls in the classes. Has several motor vehicles in view is an Ezywalkin advert on a building. The tram entered service on 17/11/1928 and was fitted with route number boxes during Feb. 1930, which dates the photo to c1929. "At the age of 20, I brought my first film camera, a solid, heavy and much loved Minolta XGM. Photographing mostly in black and white, I’ve been taking portraits, capturing landscapes and documenting people’s lives and rituals ever since. And now, more than 35 years later, I’m still excited to be on this journey with photography – alas, no longer with that Minolta. What attracts me to photography is the medium’s ability to show us the ordinary in an extraordinary way. My work has been acquired by the City of Darebin and the State Library of Victoria. I have been long and short listed for several major prizes, including the Moran Photography Award, the Head on Award and the National Photographic Portrait Prize."
