Enlisted in Bendigo on 19/10/1914 in 2nd Reinforcements of 14th Battalion, aged 22. Embarked for Egypt 2/2/1915 and for Gallipoli on 12/4/1915. He was WIA 29/8/1915 with GSW to left leg and transferred to England where his left leg was amputated. RTA 19/6/1916 and discharged 25/12/1916. Note: Part of O'Donahoo's record on National Archives lists his service number as 1496. His medals are marked with the number 1399. Part of the O'Donahoo Collection.1.
