Cyril Davidson (Grasshopper) was a vollunteer fire fighter who was heavily involved with both the Fire Brigade and the Royal Childrens Hospital Good Fiday appeal (RCH GFA). He passed away in 1993. The Ithacan Philanthropic Society has been donating to the Royal Children's Hospital since 1922. Easter fundraiser functions have been held at the clubrooms to support the annual Children's Hospital Appeal.
