Ernest finished as Superintendent of Sale Police Station. His career is detailed in the Wycheproof family history section of our archive. He married Lucy May Webber at Wycheproof in 1898.Part of Victorian Police History and local Wycheproof History, Constable Ashton had a brilliant police career.In the framed black and white photo Constable Ernest Graham Ashton, in full mounted police uniform, which includes white helmet, sits astride his white steed, long sword hanging below the horses's right flank.
