The Sunshine Ladies Bowling Club was a key part of Sunshine’s community sporting life, founded to give local women their own space in the traditionally male-dominated world of bowls. It operated alongside the Sunshine Bowling Club and other local associations, reflecting the growth of women’s sport in Victoria during the mid‑20th century. The club was successful in winning many pennants throughout the years.
