A handdrawn diagram of the large swimming pool on Kororoit Creek with a sketch of the memorial stone on the reverse side Supplementary note by Peter Ingram dated 5 September 2007 Regarding the memorial stone as told to John Willaton I am of the opinion that it was erected to mark the Victorian swimming championship held there in 1935 I sketched the description of the stone on the back of my diagram of the swimming pool There was a number 5 remaining on the broken marble face and my brother who swam in swimming races there in 1937 recalled a very important swimming event held there several years earlier John said that the stone is now probably buried under tonnes of rubble due to Council workssunshine swimming pool, swimming, kororoit creek, albion
