Diagram of Kororoit Swimming pool
Inscriptions & markings
A handdrawn diagram of the large swimming pool on Kororoit Creek with a sketch of the memorial stone on the reverse side
Supplementary note by Peter Ingram dated 5 September 2007 Regarding the memorial stone as told to John Willaton I am of the opinion that it was erected to mark the Victorian swimming championship held there in 1935 I sketched the description of the stone on the back of my diagram of the swimming pool There was a number 5 remaining on the broken marble face and my brother who swam in swimming races there in 1937 recalled a very important swimming event held there several years earlier John said that the stone is now probably buried under tonnes of rubble due to Council works
