Alice Tanner nee Schwerkolt was the granddaughter of August & Paulina Schwerkolt. She was the child of Louis Schwerkolt and Francisca (Both) Kruse who was the daughter of August's second wife, Wilhelmina. In 1913 Alice married William Martyn Tanner.
