The photograph shows W2 class tram 504 after collision damage, most likely with another tram, given the nature of the damage. Was running a Mont Albert route 42 service at the time. The tram was later painted by Clifton Pugh in 1978. This event was the 13th Annual Art and Craft Exhibition in 1994 that was run by the widows' club. The items could be sold at trading tables and at the table outside Legacy House during Badge Week in September to raise funds. This magazine issue contains an article on the Sydney Opera House titled "Can You Cost a Dream?" by Eva M. Buhrich, pictures by Max Dupain. p24-27. Robin Boyd’s desk cupboard contained two exercise books (item D482.1-D482.2) and assorted articles, essays and other material regarding the building of the Sydney Opera House, inserted inside the front cover of this Walkabout magazine. This cash book is one of the earliest administrative books that exist in the Victorian Bands' League historical collection. The earlier years contain records of which bands paid affiliation to the League, and in later years there is detail on what the League spent money on, and how much they received in Government grants. Mentioned throughout the cash book are the names of prominent bandsmen and brass bands. Interestingly in the later pages of the records, for some reason a new page numbering system was used before it reverted back to single pages.
