One of a set of 153 Victoria Government Gazettes, ranging from 1853 to 1914. The set is almost complete, only missing two volumes; 1872. The set was owned by Warrnambool City Council, later transferred to Warrnambool Art Gallery, then to the Mechanics' Institute building at Flagstaff Hill.The almost complete set of Victoria Government Gazettes is highly significant, containing a record of Victoria's government-associated history.The Victoria Government Gazette 1853 1 Vol 4. A large hard covered book with leather spine and patterned front cover.
