Printed sheet detailing the vision of a historic or heritage tramway for Ballarat around Lake Wendouree and personal notes of one of the attendees of the meeting.3932.1 - duplicated set of meeting ( 3 pages 2 sheets) notes titled "A Historical Tramway for Ballarat", prepared for the public meeting at the VRI on 29/4/1971. Printed using the Gestetner duplicating process on foolscap paper in green ink, giving a back ground to the proposal for a heritage or historical tramway in Ballarat, a vision, the benefits of Ballarat, Agenda for the meeting, request for donations and draft resolutions. Graeme Breydon has written notes on pages 2 and 3 of the notes, including additional resolutions, changes to the resolutions and the people who made up the Committee. Yields information in the form of a letter from an active tram enthusiast at the time recommending that part of the Ballarat system be retained for heritage tramway operation by the TMSV.Two typed A4 size sheets, photocopied, undated, early 1971 written by Dave Macartney of Albert Park to a number of people recommending that the TMSV establish a tramway museum in Ballarat around the shores of Lake Wendouree. Includes a map showing a possible track layout. Gives supporting cases, issues, problems, notes tourism potential, street running and other matters. Has been hand address to "Graeme". An article that appeared in The Courier, Ballarat about the return of tram No. 39 from Lismore to Ballarat by the Ballarat Tram Preservation Society. No date on item, about March or April 1976 as appealing for space to store The April 1976 issue of Fares Please! gives the proposed move date as 8 and 9 May 1976. Society contact was Barry McCandlish. The article mentions the dimensions of the tram. A space is needed for off-sight storage as the Depot does not have the space at the present time. Photo of tram accompanying item is of No. 12 with destination of Sebastopol. Twenty (20c) ticket for the Ballarat Tourist Tramway, printed on semi glossy white paper. Ticket Number A 000000. The ticket is printed using turquoise colour ink, with the ticket number in black ink. Ticket in the style of the SEC tram tickets. Tickets used for Adult Return, Child Return and Child Single from 24/12/1974 to 31/10/1985. Ticket collected at the time of first issue to museum (date 12/7/1974) and placed in a manila envelope for the archives.
