Book - E.J. Rowe (Ted Rowe) - collected documents, Sydney Morning Herald, 1949-2019
Ted Rowe was a delegate of the Amalgamated Engineering Union and was Ballarat Trades Hall President for two years - 1941-1942. He was also an activist in the Communist Party of Australia. The collection includes a memoir from one of Rowe's descendants. Original documents not held. Items are print-outs and photocopies. 1. The mill owners attempted to dam the river during the 1870s. The mill was built in 1876 as recorded by the local traveling correspondent . Foreman's flour mill established 1876 at the west end of High Street. Sold to Norske in 1925.
